The Optical Media Board hereby releases its ofﬁcial statement on the incident that transpired on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 between MMDA Towing Team and Optical Media Board.
On May 24, 2017, an operation was indeed conducted by the MMDA , towing vehicles parked along Scout Tobias Street, Barangay Laging Handa, Quezon City. In fact, one of the vehicles towed that day is an ofﬁcial enforcement vehicle of the OMB. The whole block of Scout Limbaga, the street wherein
Optical Media Board is situated is currently closed as road widening and ﬂood control repairs are undergoing. Drivers of the OMB have no choice but to park ofﬁcial vehicles along Scout Tobias. OMB respected the authority of the MMDA when the said ofﬁcial vehicle was towed.
Optical Media Board Chair and CEO Atty. Anselmo B. Adriano, upon hearing of the allegation of the gun toting incident immediately ordered Executive Director Atty. Victor Luis Q. Padilla II to hold an in-depth investigation on the matter and to secure a copy of the CCTV footage from the barangay.
Chair Adriano further states: “The agency will not condone any misbehavior by any employee of the OMB and we shall respect the right of the complainant should he wish to ﬁle an appropriate complaint. We will fully cooperate with any other investigations, all in the interest of justice, fair play and due process.”
